My name is Ian Shephard and I have been a web & game developer for more than a decade.
I have over 15 years experience in design, programming, art and music production, and have a post-graduate diploma in post-production
visual effects.
All have helped me work on short films, published games, and build a broad cross section of skills that have allowed me to run
and manage two game studios and two web/SaaS companies.
I play a very active part in the local game development scene, being one of the organisers of ChchGameDev, we help support Christchurch based game developers, provide monthly meet ups, and bring in both national and international guest speakers to help improve our local game development scene. I have also been a speaker at NZGDC (New Zealand Game Developers Conference), talking about tips and tricks to running small or one man studios, and have also previously tutored small groups of young people entry level game programming and 3D art.
Music is also a big part of my life. I love writing music of all genres and have had several gigs on small games and short films. More information for this can be found in the portfolio section.

Jump into the world of Tony Slopes and race a whole host of utterly useless (but entertaining) vehicles across some of the most ridiculous and terrifying downhill terrains. Put your pedal to the metal, or whatever your vehicle’s equivalent is... and find that thrill-seeking experience you’ve been so longingly craving. Whether you’re riding a rubber dingy, an office chair or a humpback whale, we advise you to keep all hands inside the vehicle at all times!
I have been responsible for the game design, mechanics programming, networking, and partly 3D art, 2D art, sound and music.
